Over the Father’s Day weekend, many of our young activists and MPs went out to wish residents a Happy Father’s Day. Nee Soon Central took Polaroids of families having their Father’s Day dinner, and gave them to the families with small pouches. The photos will surely become treasured mementos for the more than 200 residents they met! Chong Pang and Nee Soon East gave out coasters and namecard holders respectively, while Nee Soon South gave out handmade cookies.....
Nee Soon GRC has a long tradition of multi-cultural celebrations. This Ramadan, the volunteers giving out Ramadan porridge in Nee Soon Central included five non-Muslims. One of the volunteers Lewis Yong told Berita Harian: “By donating a little time and energy to help distribute the porridge, I can understand what the Muslim community does during the month of Ramadan and also get to know them better.” He even tried to fast himself, but couldn’t keep it up!....
Volunteers from the Nee Soon Central Young PAP (NSC YP) were out to share the joy of this Lunar New Year season. Festive decorations were distributed to Nee Soon residents and volunteers took the opportunity to get to know residents a little better. Many also shared information about the Meet-the-People Sessions (MPS) held regularly, for those who may need the occasional helping hand. The conversations were warm and filled with laughter as volunteers and residents joked about a variety of issues.....
