Thousands of residents turned up at the memorial site in Nee Soon to pay their last respects to the late Mr. Lee Kuan Yew. A bagpiper from Northland Secondary School played an unforgettable rendition of Auld Lang Syne and the advisors delivered solemn eulogies. The moving memorial ended on a meaningful candle lighting vigil where everyone was invited to come forward to light up the tea light candles. The candles were placed on a specially constructed map of Singapore surrounding a beautiful painting of Mr Lee.....

Animal lovers from all over Singapore joined us at our 4th Chong Pang Animal Welfare Forum organised with ACRES. Animal welfare issues were raised, including animal abuse, legislation, ownership rules and culling. There’s still plenty to be done. The forum touched on how the real issues are often not about animal conflicts, but differing opinions between communities dealing with the issues. There is room to find a middle ground of practical and sustainable solutions and move the animal welfare cause forward.....
