Mr Mohamed Faizal Mohamed Abdul Kadir was conferred the BH Achiever of the Year award at the Anugerah Jauhari Berita Harian 2020 held on 18 November 2020. Law and Home Affairs Minister K. Chong Pang City neighbourhood centre will be rejuvenated with a new integrated development, housing the Chong Pang Community Club, Market and Hawker Centre, 3 swimming pools, a gym, fitness studios, commercial shops, and a basement carpark with over 300 lots. The multistorey development will be called Chill @ Chong Pang. Larger than a football field, it will stand on the site of the current Chong Pang Community Club and Block 102 Yishun Avenue 5. The upgraded Nee Soon South Community Club (CC) will be the first CC in Singapore to incorporate SLEB-compliance and dementia-friendly designs. Nee Soon South CC will be upgraded with features that reduce its energy consumption. With solar panels on the roof, smart energy management, use of natural ventilation and lighting and other such features, it is projected to become a Super Low Energy Building (SLEB).
