Yishun is the healthcare hub of the North.
2 hospitals- Khoo Teck Puat Hospital for general acute care and Yishun Community Hospital for rehabilitation.
Yishun Polyclinic has been expanded.
There will be one more polyclinic near Khatib MRT by 2023.
The hospitals and polyclinic work with the community to help residents stay healthy.
Elderly residents can learn new skills, exercise and socialise at three new “wellness kampungs” and several new senior activity centres.
Goodlife!@Yishun even has Singapore’s first free aromatherapy and massage service for seniors and caregivers.
There are more facilities for residents who need dialysis, dementia daycare, special needs care, counselling and so on.
We have launched Singapore’s first constituency-based cancer support movement. Residents who are fighting cancer can get emotional support from our volunteers.
Yishun is also Singapore’s first dementia-friendly community. We have installed more dementia-friendly signage in Chong Pang City and Khatib Central, the first community in Singapore to do so. Over 10,000 people have been trained to help persons with dementia.
With the Pioneer Generation and Merdeka Generation Packages, expansion of national health insurance schemes, and CHAS subsidies expanded to everyone with chronic illnesses, this Government takes care of those in need. The seniors and their children have peace of mind.
