On 9 August, our National Day, Nee Soon Town Council organised a National Day Parade Live Screening event which attracted 3,000 residents to celebrate together.
This is the first time Nee Soon Town Council has organised a live screening of the National Day Parade right in the heartlands. It was held at the hardcourt beside Yishun MRT station, in front of Blk 744.
Law and Home Affairs Minister K Shanmugam, MP for Nee Soon GRC, graced the event and interacted with residents from all walks of life.
It was a touching moment when all residents stood up to sing the National Anthem and say the National Pledge together as one people.

This free-for-all event included other fringe activities like temporary tattoo art, light displays, photobooth and balloon sculptures.
Residents who have signed up prior to the event also received food tickets to exchange for Rainbow Toast, Cartoon Buns, Rainbow Popcorn, Dragon Breath Candy and other food.
