There are also many smaller childcare centres. After your MP Er Dr Lee Bee Wah requested for them, there is at least one in every BTO project. Your MP and Senior Parliamentary Secretary for Social and Family Development announced in Mar 2018 that these centres will be bigger from now on, so every child can get quality and affordable childcare.
By Jan 2020, there will be two MOE Kindergartens in Yishun. One at Naval Base Primary School, and one at Huamin Primary School (relocated from Blk 318A Yishun Ave 9). They will also free up more space at childcare centres for children aged 0-4. They are part of the government’s push for greater quantity and quality in early years education.
MOE is also expanding after-school student care, so parents have peace of mind when they’re working. All primary schools in Yishun have set up student care, ahead of the national timeline.
