Nee Soon South now has its very own 3D mural art!

The mural commemorates Lee Teck Public School, a kampung school that once stood in Chye Kay village in the Sembawang area. Many residents were resettled from the village into Yishun in 1977. There is a bicycle mounted in front of the mural, so you can take photos that look like you’re part of the mural.

Ex-principal of Lee Teck Mdm Ho Chin Geok graced the occasion, as did some Lee Teck alumni. Lee Teck alumnus and Nee Soon South resident Mr Toh Boon Teck said, “With the mural, Nee Soon will never forget this part of our history.”

The mural is at Blk 776 and is part of Nee Soon South’s trail of public art connected to the history of Nee Soon. MP for Nee Soon South Er Dr Lee Bee Wah launched it on 2nd July 2017.
