On the 1st of April, members of the Nee Soon South PAP branch enjoyed a day of fun and learning at the Botanic Gardens with MP Er Dr Lee Bee Wah.
The day started with a rather lively bus ride where Dr Lee interacted with members by not only conversing with them but also singing oldies with them. Members caught up with one another and discussed topics from Nee Soon issues to national issues.
Participants enjoyed the historic paths that have made the Gardens a UNESCO World Heritage site. They also made a trip to the newly-opened Learning Forest. Members learnt about the different ecosystems in Singapore, and took photos with the beautiful scenery. The Learning Forest serves as a reminder that although technological and economic progress is crucial, it is still important to preserve our rich flora and fauna.
PAP Nee Soon South will organise more outings to thank the volunteers who serve tirelessly every week.
