On 28th September 2015, Yishunites got a new direct bus service to the city. Er. Dr. Lee Bee Wah was at bus-stops as early as 7.30am, giving out flyers on the route of City Direct Service (CDS) 663.
CDS 663 plies Yishun Avenue 6, Yishun Street 31, Yishun Ring Road, Yishun Avenue 11, Yishun Central and Yishun Avenue 2, before heading straight to the city on the SLE and CTE. It connects residents directly to Dhoby Ghaut and Shenton Way in the morning and from Anson Road and Robinson Road in the evening.

Unlike the existing City Direct Services, commuters on CDS 663 are charged based on the distance travelled and will not incur transfer penalties. The existing 10 City Direct Services will also be converted to this model by mid-2016, so commutes will become more affordable.
To avoid duplication with CDS 663, existing Service 850E will now skip Yishun Avenue 6, Yishun Street 11 and Yishun Ring Road.

Er. Dr. Lee Bee Wah said: “I suggested the best route to benefit more residents, and I’m glad the authorities took my suggestions on board. I will continue listening to feedback, so residents can have the most convenient and affordable commutes possible.”
