Choosing the right primary school for your young ones can be quite a stressful affair. Here are some tips to help you along.
1. List of Primary Schools in Yishun and Kebun Baru (In alphabetical order)

2. How to determine Home-School Distance
Step 1: Go to OneMap.sg. Enter your address in the search bar on top and click GO

Step 2: Click “Services” (Top Left, Second option from the left) -> Click School Query -> Click Go -> Click Find Schools near a building -> Click your building (you may have to wait a little for the tool to generate the schools)

The end result should look like the image above – the red schools are the ones within 1km, and blue ones between 1-2km. Do note that this tool only provides a rough estimate of the Home-School Distance, and parents cannot use this as official proof of Home-School Distances for registration.
There are other websites that provide similar functions to that of OneMap – including MyLifeStyleMap, StreetDB and StreetDirectory. Feel free to explore these websites if OneMap’s services are not sufficient.
3. Look at the school’s programmes and CCAs
Yo’ll probably want a holistic environment that allows your child to grow not only academically, but also in his or her areas of interest. MOE has provided the School Information Service that allows parents to customize the search based on “Planning Area”, “Programmes” and “CCAs”.
