The creation of the SFA under MWER is the right move, and will enhance our ability to keep our food supply safe. PAP Seniors Group: Create right conditions for seniors to enjoy being active and productive

The PAP Seniors Group (PAP.SG) made several recommendations to the Government, calling for a tripartite effort to create the right conditions for seniors in Singapore to enjoy being active and productive. PAP.SG is led by Speaker of Parliament Mr Tan Chuan-Jin, together with Vice-Chairpersons and Members of Parliament Henry Kwek Hian Chuan and Ms Joan Pereira. Other members include former Minister of State and unionist Mrs Yu-Foo Yee Shoon and former Member of Parliament Dr Chiang Hai Ding.....

Nee Soon’s Cancer Support Movement and Cancer Resource Centres

Nee Soon GRC launched “Never Alone”, Singapore’s first constituency-based cancer support and awareness movement on 27 Jan. In this movement, residents who have survived cancer will befriend and encourage neighbours going through the same journey. This is believed to be the first cancer support and awareness movement in Singapore launched by a GRC ’s community and grassroots, with support from partners. The movement includes 55 “Health Kakis” who are cancer survivors and residents of our GRC.....

Extending housing grants and training accidents

To ask the Minister for Defence in the wake of the recent SAF training accidents, whether there will be an SAF-wide review on training doctrines that will factor in the learning from the various incidents.
