Kebun Baru National Day Dinner

Minister K. Shanmugam was invited by MP Inderjit Singh to Kebun Baru’s National Day Dinner on Saturday, 1 August. PM Lee Hsien Loong was the Guest of Honour. The Vice Chairman of the CCC (Citizens’ Consultative Committee) of Kebun Baru, Henry Kwek (in photos), also joined them. PM Lee thanked Inderjit for his many years of service to his residents. Mr Shanmugam notes that the warm reception that the residents gave all of us, is a testimony to the closeness between Inderjit and his residents.....

Nee Soon Football and Study Programme

Together, Minister K. Shanmugam and Fandi Ahmad created the Nee Soon Football and Study Programme for youths aged 7 to 16. It was launched on 25 January 2015. The Nee Soon GRC Grassroots Organisations will sponsor 80 students under the MOE Financial Assistance Scheme. The students, who either live or study in Nee Soon GRC, will also attend a study mentoring programme alongside football training. Volunteers will run the study programme every Saturday afternoon while weekly football training will be conducted by the F-17 Academy,....
