Minister Shanmugam: Key issues that voters should consider

During a walkabout at the Yishun Temporary Bus Interchange on 5 September, Minister K Shanmugam shared his thoughts about the key issues that voters should consider during the upcoming General Elections. For example, by 2030, 900,000 Singaporeans would be aged 65 and above. As a result, healthcare financing would become a critical challenge. Minister Shanmugam said that the Government has anticipated the challenge many years in advance and put in place comprehensive policies, such as Medishield Life and the Pioneer Generation Package.....

The five candidates for Nee Soon GRC walked to the nomination centre at Yishun Primary School to register themselves for the 2015 General Elections. They were met with throngs of excited supporters who were carrying PAP flags and umbrellas to show their support. When Minister Shanmugam and his team approached the building, cheers erupted and the crowd clapped enthusiastically. After the nomination procedure was done, Minister Shanmugam thanked the swelling crowd for always believing in him and his team at Nee Soon GRC.....
