Sembawang Hot Spring to become public park

Nee Soon GRC will gain yet another beautiful water park. Sembawang Hot Spring will be developed into a public park by the end of 2018. According to Lianhe Zaobao, the area to be redeveloped is about an acre in area, significantly bigger than the area that is accessible to the public now. New bus and road in Yishun

Your MPs are constantly trying to improve transport in Nee Soon. In Oct 2016, a new bus and a new road were launched in Yishun. Bus 883 connects Yishun MRT to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital, Yishun Community Hospital, Darul Makmur Mosque and Yishun Swimming Complex, as well as Sembawang MRT further afield. It will start running on 23 Oct. MPs Assoc Prof Muhammad Faishal Ibrahim and Kwek Hian Chuan Henry visited Yishun Bus Interchange to explain the new route to residents.....

Melissa Chong – activist, entrepreneur and Nee Soon East volunteer

During the haze last year, you might have seen people wearing masks with an “X” on them, or read articles about 7500 Singaporeans who pledged to buy sustainable palm oil products. Now meet the 26-year-old behind the campaign- Melissa Chong. Melissa founded a social enterprise called GameChangerz, which runs campaigns on social and environmental issues. She’s also founded a network named Singapore Youth for Climate Action, and represented Singapore’s young “greenies” at the United Nations’ Paris climate talks.....
