New 3D Mural in Nee Soon South

Nee Soon South now has its very own 3D mural art! The mural commemorates Lee Teck Public School, a kampung school that once stood in Chye Kay village in the Sembawang area. Many residents were resettled from the village into Yishun in 1977. There is a bicycle mounted in front of the mural, so you can take photos that look like you’re part of the mural. Polaroids, Coasters and Cookies for Nee Soon Fathers

Over the Father’s Day weekend, many of our young activists and MPs went out to wish residents a Happy Father’s Day. Nee Soon Central took Polaroids of families having their Father’s Day dinner, and gave them to the families with small pouches. The photos will surely become treasured mementos for the more than 200 residents they met! Non-Muslim Residents Distribute Ramadan Porridge

Nee Soon GRC has a long tradition of multi-cultural celebrations. This Ramadan, the volunteers giving out Ramadan porridge in Nee Soon Central included five non-Muslims. One of the volunteers Lewis Yong told Berita Harian: “By donating a little time and energy to help distribute the porridge, I can understand what the Muslim community does during the month of Ramadan and also get to know them better.” He even tried to fast himself, but couldn’t keep it up!....
