Facing the Crisis Together

The world is facing the biggest crisis in several generations- Covid-19.

The virus continues to spread around the world. Over five million people have been infected. Hundreds of thousands have died. These numbers are still rising.

The virus has affected both lives and livelihoods. Most countries are suffering. The world faces a severe recession.

In Singapore, we have protected our population.  Our death rate is among the lowest in the world. We had a major outbreak amongst our migrant workers. We dealt with this outbreak, and assured our migrant workers that we will take care of them.

Many Singaporean businesses and workers have been affected. We are helping them.

The fight ahead will be tough and a long one. We have to continue to fight the virus, while making sure our people are protected.

We ask for your strong support for this.

We will need to act quickly and decisively.

Over 50 years, PAP Governments have built the resources and reserves for Singapore. That has allowed us to spend nearly $100 billion now, to help Singaporeans. We will do everything possible to help all of us ride through this storm.

You have always given your strong mandate to the PAP.

This has allowed successive PAP Governments to take Singapore through various crises. To plan long-term for all Singaporeans’ welfare. And to build a unique and successful country.

We ask for your trust again.
